Run Through
Run Through
Abstract aerial photography blue river running through white salt
“RUN THROUGH” was captured over central Lake Eyre (Kati Thanda).
At the time of image capture the lake was mostly dry, revealing a thick white salt crust. There were small corners where shallow water sat and algae blooms flourished.
During an aerial flight towards the centre of this vast salt lake I saw a small but precise inland river system beautifully weaving through the salt and reflecting the blue of the clear skies above.
In this image I see minimalism, a refined colour palette and mystery in the past and future of the S-curve water flow.
