Storage tank and hut at old whaling station in Antarctica

"FOR THE LOVE OF" was captured in Antarctica.

In a world of blue and white during this trip, despite their history, it was pleasing to see a shade of red and even some grey. We understand this would have been an old whaler's hut and an oil tank of some sort built and developed by the Norwegians between the First and Second World Wars.

I think the man-made objects are interesting against such a natural back drop.

The composition breaks all of the rules by having two subjects split on either side of the frame but I am not concerned because it creates such interest for me, and my eyes are happy to wonder all around the image.
